Tinymight 2: Technical Specifications and Parts Guide

Every figure on this page is measured from the current Tinymight 2 engineering model (2026 revision). Use it to identify spare parts, check compatibility and understand how the device is built.

The device at a glance

  • Body: solid walnut, about 61 x 37 mm footprint and 85 mm tall; roughly 130 mm to the top of the glass tube. Weight with battery about 145-150 g.
  • Two internal columns: the vapor path on one side, the battery compartment on the other, separated by a solid wood wall. Wood is the structural insulator; there is also a deliberate 2 mm air gap around the heater glass so the outside stays comfortable to hold.
  • Heating: on-demand convection. Air is heated in a borosilicate glass conduit below the chamber, then drawn up through the herb. The heating element and chamber are separated by a protector ring and a mesh screen, so the herb never touches the element.

Glass parts

  • Vapor tube (mouthpiece stem): borosilicate, 55 mm long, 16.4 mm outer diameter, 11.6 mm bore, about 2 mm wall. It push-fits about 5 mm deep into the tube holder; the fit is deliberately snug (a fraction of a millimetre of grip) so it cannot fall out. Insert and remove with a straight push or pull.
  • Heater glass: borosilicate cylinder, 35.5 mm long, 24.1 mm outer diameter, 19.9 mm bore, 2.1 mm wall. This is the "furnace" conduit that sits below the chamber. It is a Tinymight 2 part; the Tinymight 1 inner glass is a different size, so measure before ordering if you have a TM1.

Chamber and screens

  • The chamber is lined with a thin stainless steel sleeve: 16.5 mm inner diameter, about 25 mm usable depth. It is the same in every TM2 edition and colour, including the black edition; colour differences are in the wood only.
  • Screen size: 16.5 mm diameter. When buying replacement screens, this is the number that matters.
  • Capacity guide (ground herb, medium grind): about 0.1 g fills the bottom 5 mm, 0.2 g about 10 mm, 0.3 g about 15 mm. Filled to the top the chamber takes over 0.5 g, which is why many users prefer dosing capsules or a half-filled bowl. Dosing capsules must be under 16.5 mm in diameter to fit.

Seals

  • The chamber is sealed by a single o-ring at the top: about 24 mm outer diameter with a 2 mm cord. Current production uses one o-ring here. If yours has gone flat or cracked, this is the only seal you need to replace at the chamber.

Battery

  • The TM2 takes one unprotected, high-drain 18650 cell, loaded from the top under the round steel cap next to the mouthpiece.
  • The compartment has about 68 mm of usable length. A standard 18650 is 65 mm and fits with room for the contacts. "Protected" 18650 cells are typically 68-70 mm long and will not fit or will jam; this is the most common cause of "my battery does not fit" and of battery-door problems. Button-top unprotected cells usually fit; flat-top unprotected cells always fit.
  • The battery cap has a fine machined thread (M21, 0.65 mm pitch). Fine threads cross-thread easily: start the cap gently counter-clockwise until you feel the thread drop in, then tighten clockwise without force.

Small details worth knowing

  • The stirring stick lives in its own channel in the top of the body, next to the tube. The channel is 3.5 mm wide; only the stick's 6.5 mm knob shows at the top.
  • The temperature dial has a fine adjustment range; the fire button is a 6 mm momentary switch.
  • The whole body is clamped by a single long M4 bolt from below; there are no hidden screws in the wood.
  • Charging is via the USB-C port at the base. An external 18650 charger is a recommended accessory since the cell is removable.

Part compatibility quick answers

  • All TM2 editions and colours share the same internal parts: sleeves, screens, o-rings and glass are interchangeable across the whole TM2 range.
  • TM1 and TM2 glass parts are NOT interchangeable; the sizes differ.
  • Screens: 16.5 mm. O-ring at the chamber: about 24 x 2 mm. Vapor tube: 16.4 mm outer diameter, 55 mm length.
