Most Tinymight 2 issues have a simple fix. Below are the questions our support team hears most, with the answers straight from our own service notes. If your Tinymight 2 still needs help afterwards, contact support with your order number for a return label.

My Tinymight 2 will not turn on

First make sure the temperature dial is set higher than level 2 — a safety feature prevents accidental start-up at low settings. If the dial is high enough and you have a known-good, fully charged recommended battery (Molicel P26A/P28A/P30B) and it still won’t start, the unit needs to come back to us for repair.

It is not charging

The Tinymight 2 charges via USB-C and needs a quality adapter capable of at least 2 A. If nothing happens, the battery may simply be too full — the unit only begins a new charge cycle once voltage has dropped. If you are sure the cable and adapter are good and it still won’t charge, the charging electronics or connector may be damaged and the unit should be returned for repair.

It produces less vapour than it used to

Usually one of three things: (1) the battery is worn — use only Molicel P26A/P28A/P30B; (2) the battery-cap contact is dirty or oxidised — gently polish the contact point on the battery lid until it is shiny again, which restores a clean power transfer; (3) recalibrate — the dial range can be shifted −3 to +3 steps. See the last page of the official manual for calibration. IMPORTANT: do NOT loosen the back-end screw or work the end panels on a Tinymight 2 — that contact-refresh procedure applies to the original Tinymight 1 only and will permanently damage a TM2. If none of these help, contact us instead of opening the unit.

The temperature dial spins freely / does nothing

This is usually a failed connection between the dial and the potentiometer beneath it. It is a soldering repair; in most cases it is best to send the unit to us to fix.

The vibration stopped

There is a silent mode that can be activated by accident. Reset it by opening the battery lid and closing it again. If that doesn’t help, the vibration-motor contacts may have flattened — a quick fix described in our full FAQ.

The battery lid is stuck

If the lid will not turn, forcing it usually means the threads are already damaged. We can supply a new battery cap and top panel, which is easy to swap. Tip: keep a little oil or grease on the battery threads to keep them moving smoothly and prevent this.

It suddenly got very hot and scorched the material

This can happen if a third-party dosing capsule pushes the mesh screen onto the heater, causing a short. Only use our own accessories. To fix, remove the tube holder, red O-ring and metal tube, take out the steel screen holder and carefully clear any screen that has fallen onto the heater. A screen must never be used without being seated securely in its holder.

The bottom panel gets warm while charging

Completely normal — the aluminium bottom panel is used as a heatsink during charging to maximise charging speed. No cause for concern.

How do I know my unit is genuine?

Every Tinymight sold since February 2022 has a serial number on the bottom panel and a factory-registered security code. On a genuine TM2 battery lid there is a “+” printed on the inside; common fakes show a “−”. If in doubt, contact our support.
